Books

A library offering books for adoptive families to borrow is getting ready.Meanwhile books, audio/video tapes is available on basic parenting skills, child care, discipline, adoption process, adoption telling, search issues, compilation of adoption experience etc.

Organizational Interface

Voluntary Co-ordinating Agency: Su-datta provides the 'it-works-definitely' confidence to prospective parents who are indecisive. VCA directs prospective parents to Su-datta to 'see & believe' and to take inputs based on experience is adoptive parenthood.

Child Care Institutions: Su-datta helps prospective parents to provide the right particulars to the child care institutions. It also helps in getting the complete legal documentation from the institutions for the benefit of the adopted child's future.

Government Offices: Maternity leave can be availed by Central & State Government office employees! Contact Su-datta for details.

Schools: There are still quite a few schools who do not enroll adopted children since they do not have a legal birth certificate. Su-datta has got the GO prepared instructing all schools to accept the court affidavit in place of a birth certificate.

Passport Office: Normally the court affidavit is acceptable at the passport office. A Government Order is under preparation for issuing a birth certificate based on court affidavit and other legal documents. This would take care of all hurdles related to absence of legal birth certificate.
